Dental Insurance Plans We Work With
Insurance networks can change, and individual benefits vary by plan. We currently participate with several dental insurance plans, and we encourage patients to confirm their specific coverage before treatment.
Our office currently lists participation with:
- Delta Dental PPO Plus Premier
- Altus
- Aetna
- Blue Cross Blue Shield Indemnity Plan
- Cigna

We also welcome many patients with out-of-network PPO benefits and can submit eligible claims on their behalf. Being out-of-network does not automatically mean you have no benefits, but reimbursement, deductibles, annual maximums, and patient responsibility depend on your individual plan.
Can We File Your Dental Insurance Claim?
Yes. Our office is happy to file eligible PPO claims on behalf of patients. We provide the clinical and treatment information required for the claim and help you understand the benefit information we receive.
Insurance companies determine what they will pay according to the terms of the patient’s plan. Because of that, we avoid promising a specific reimbursement amount before the carrier processes the claim.

Insurance & Financing
What to Know Before Treatment
Insurance language can make a treatment estimate harder to read than it needs to be. Our front desk team can help explain the practical pieces of your plan and how they may affect the amount you pay.
Your Estimated Insurance Benefit
Before treatment, we can review the information available from your dental plan and provide an estimate of how benefits may apply. An estimate is not a guarantee of payment because the insurance company makes the final coverage decision after processing the claim.

Your Deductible and Annual Maximum
Many dental plans include a deductible, which is an amount you may need to pay before certain benefits apply. Plans may also have an annual maximum, which limits how much the insurer pays toward covered dental care during a benefit year.
We can help you understand how these plan features relate to the recommended treatment.
Your Expected Patient Portion
Once we review the treatment estimate and available benefit information, we can discuss the portion you may be responsible for. If treatment will happen in several phases, we can also explain the financial sequence alongside the clinical plan.

Frequently Asked Questions
Dental Insurance & Financing FAQs
Patients often have questions about network participation, claim filing, and what happens when insurance does not cover the full cost. These answers explain how we approach the financial side of care.
What if Dental Insurance Does Not Cover the Full Treatment?
Dental insurance can help with many types of care, but it may not cover every service or the full cost of treatment. This can be especially relevant when a plan involves extensive restorative care, dental implants, or elective cosmetic treatment.
When insurance leaves a remaining balance, we explain the amount before you move forward. For patients considering a larger restorative plan, you can also review our full-mouth reconstruction options and discuss the financial sequence during your consultation.
CareCredit Financing for Dental Treatment
CareCredit offers a separate financing option for eligible patients who prefer to make payments over time. Approval and financing terms are determined by CareCredit, not by our dental office.
Patients may consider CareCredit for treatment that is not fully covered by dental insurance or when they would rather spread an eligible balance across payments. We can explain how CareCredit fits into your estimate, but patients should review the financing terms carefully before accepting an offer.
For patients considering higher-value treatment, our dental implant options in Braintree explain how implant care is planned before a financial estimate is finalized.

Why We Review Costs Before You Commit
A treatment recommendation should make sense clinically and financially. We do not want you to leave an appointment still wondering what the next phase is expected to cost.
Once the treatment plan is established, our team can review:
- The procedures included in the plan
- The estimated fees
- Available insurance information
- Expected patient responsibility
- Financing options when applicable
- How costs may be divided if treatment occurs in phases
This discussion gives you a clearer picture before treatment begins. If the plan changes due to a change in your clinical needs, we will review the updated estimate with you.
